Regulon files

For each organism, these files contain a list of genes making up predicted regulons. These regulons were predicted from one of our comparative genomics methods, and the subsets of genes listed here share a significant regulatory motif. Often the same group of genes was linked together by several methods or in several different AlignACE runs; threfore the groups of genes were clustered based on gene composition and the clusters are listed in these files. All of the gene groups in a cluster share at least 70% gene composition.

The first column contains the gene containing the motif directly in its upstream region (the operon head). The second column contains the number of motif instances within this upstrema region. Subsequent columns list other genes within this operon predicted by comparative genomics to belong to the same regulon. This is not a complete listing of genes in this operon; this is only a listing of the genes directly linked to one another.
