Specifications: - 5 Dual Pentium Pro 200 MHz nodes - 1.28 GB of memory total - 72 GB of disks - Network: fully duplex, 100 Mbps circuit-switching private network linked to the public network through the master node. - Belkin Keyboard/Mouse/Monitor switch. - Operating system: Linux with the kernel version 2.2 - NFS, NIS, PBS installed - Parallel computing environments: MPICH, LAM, and Linda. - Software: AMBER, Gaussian, and in-house applications. - In addition, the master node serves as the central server for all other computing units in our group. - Built from each individual component (CPU, motherboard, disks..) mostly from Intel's product. - Birthday: Summer 1999. |
